What is BFC?

Beyond Freedom, an apostolically minded church was founded by Teresa G. Lusk through a soft-launch via social media in May of 2020. Anyone can sum our beliefs with four words: holiness, love, freedom, and power. Before starting this church, Beyond Freedom began as a part of Teresa Lusk Ministries’ bi-monthly events held as an opportunity for many to be refreshed in the Lord through worship, preaching, and the manifest presence of God. After hosting events for approximately one year, Teresa started to feel a pull to start a church but held on until she and her family felt the go-ahead. As of May 2020, BFC is ministering on social media and will announce the meeting location in its time.

  • Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as the only way for eternal life through His death and the power of His resurrection.

  • Believe the Bible to be God’s word and the revelation of His will to individuals and accept it as our rule for faith and conduct.

  • Believe that outreaches and evangelical events are a way to reach the community.

  • Believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues, prophecy, preaching with boldness, and the manifestation of other spiritual gifts as listed in 1 Corinthians 12.

  • Believe each event or outreach minister(s) may exercise the spiritual gifts and offices provided for in the New Testament to obtain the Christian goal, “Be ye therefore perfect even as your Father in heaven is perfect.” See Romans 12:6-8, 1 Corinthians 12: 8-10, Ephesians 4:11-16.

  • Believe God has called and anointed women and men equally to emphasize the fullness of the Gospel. This includes the five-fold ministry (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, lead Pastor, Teacher) which men and women can equally fulfill the call God has given each of them. Ephesians 4:11-16.

  • Believe in healing both emotional and physical as a part of God’s goodness and salvation. We do not believe anything is required to attain God’s healing other than faith on anyone’s part. And at times, God heals just because He is sovereign.

  •  Believe in deliverance from demonization and oppression for both the saved and unsaved. The person doing the deliverance should be saved and have an understanding of the authority in Christ.

  • Believe in living a public and private godly life Galatians 5:19-21, Galatians 3:5-6, 1 Corinthians 6:9. Galatians 6:1

  • Believe marriage (between one man and one woman) is based on servanthood and submission to one another as they are one, respecting and honoring one another. Galatians 5:16-24, Romans 1:26-27

  • Believe and will stand by the most conservative interpretation of Scripture any other Biblical principles regarding sin, decisions for life, and circumstances.

Mission and Purpose

Beyond Freedom Church with Teresa Lusk Ministries exists  "…for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man (believer), to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:12-13). This work can only be done by the active work of the Holy Spirit including the manifestations of miracles, signs, wonders, giftings, deliverance, and the present unlimited ministry of men and women equally.

BFC with TLM strives to be known as a place where a genuine, full-gospel life can be experienced and become a lifestyle. That means that every potential visitor, whether in person or on social media is encouraged to become well acquainted with our statement of faith. We openly invite the presence of God and His glory to manifest; however, we strongly teach that God is holy, and His love leads us to freedom, through the power of His Spirit. You can expect that we get out of the Father’s way and follow the Acts 2 church experience instead of the “seeker-friendly” model. We invite you to come with an open, teachable, heart ready to experience the Lord supernaturally when He pleases and ready to live fully for Him!
